About
BRAMM

The British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons was set up in 2004 with the aim of establishing a national network of registered businesses and accredited fixers, replacing the need for individual Registration Schemes and promoting a closer working relationship between Memorial Masons and Burial Authorities.

BRAMMs objective is to improve standards across the industry, ensuring memorials are erected  to meet the latest British Standard BS8415

BRAMM assesses experienced masons for competency on a range of fixing skills in exchange for a BRAMM Fixer Licence and BRAMM accreditation.

The BRAMM Register is free for anyone to access via the BRAMM Website and gives burial authorities quick and easy access to company information including the business’s Public Liability Insurance, their Health and Safety and Risk Assessment policies, and it shows clearly who their BRAMM licenced fixer are.

BRAMM is by far the largest register of accredited memorial masons in Britain, and is endorsed by the vast majority of burial authorities.

If you know of a burial authority that does not endorse BRAMM then please let us know!!

BRAMM is not a trade association biased to its members, but is independent of memorial masons and burial authorities, giving independent advice to everyone about safe memorials.

BRAMM is not for profit organisation, overseen by a Board with 50/50 representation between independent memorial masons and the three burial authority organisations. No other Register of Memorial Masons has such a balanced independent and transparent representation.
